The Vibe

concourse neighborhood

The Concourse is an authentic representation of what New York City was before Manhattan and parts of Brooklyn became corporate and whitewashed. The neighborhood has soul: its working class residents form an authentic community around their families, friends, and neighbors. The neighborhood also offers real diversity, with most residents being Hispanic, as well as a sizable population of African immigrants. This has resulted in a very livable community that has attracted an influx of newcomers, mostly millennials who have become priced out of Manhattan.
