There are plenty of reasons to relocate to Queens. But here’s another one: apparently, the best pizza in New York City is there. That’s just one opinion, but it’s from a Brooklyn blogger who tried over 500 pizza spots across New York City and still crowned Queens the winner.
Here’s where to find the best pizza in Queens.
- Milkflower (34-12 31st Ave, Astoria): Milkflower is a must-visit for fans of Neapolitan pizza. The wood-fired pizzeria serves up pizzas that one would find on a trip to Naples, Italy. The crust is soft, charred in all the right places, and just the right amount of chewy, while the pizza itself is basily and floppy.
- Louie’s Pizza (8134 Baxter Ave #1, Elmhurst): Louie’s serves the best, most consistent grandma slice in Elmhurst, maybe even all of Queens. This is the kind of place where you don’t need toppings to make the slice great. But if you ask for them, they’re piled on and loaded.
- Mano’s Pizzeria (62-98 Forest Ave, Ridgewood): Home of the five-day fermented dough, which means every bite has a slightly tangy flavor and a chewy, airy crust. Mano’s Pizzeria nails the sauce-to-cheese ratio, too. Easily the best pizza in Ridgewood, which was just named TimeOut’s hottest neighborhood to watch in 2025.
- Pizzeria Panina (68-38 Forest Ave, Flushing): Located in a charming corner of Ridgewood, Pizzeria Panina serves up wonderfully fluffy, chewy (and gut-friendly!) sourdough pizza pies. Don’t skip the olives, soaked in an orange-infused brine, which tastes like Italy in a cup.
- New Park Pizza (156-71 Cross Bay Blvd, Howard Beach): A Queens institution since 1956, New Park Pizza has been cooking up pizza slices from the same brick oven for generations. If you’ve got a JFK layover, New Park Pizza is under 15 minutes on the AirTrain (and worth the detour). Somehow, it’s still one of the most underrated slice joints in Queens.
- Andrew Bellucci’s Pizzeria (37-08 30 Ave, Astoria): This place is famous for a reason (RIP Andrew Bellucci!), but complicated history aside, the pizza quality is always solid and the pairings are always well thought out. The VodkaRoni (fresh mozzarella, pepperoni, and vodka sauce) is a crowd favorite.
- Sotto Le Stelle Pizzeria (44-07 Queens Blvd, Sunnyside): Sotto e Stelle makes fantastic Neapolitan-style pizza in Sunnyside, a welcoming and growing neighborhood in Queens. Don’t skip the “Star” pizza, where the crust is cut to resemble a star, and the dough is folded over and stuffed with fresh ricotta… a pizza and calzone all in one.
- Rosario’s (22-55 31st St, Astoria): An old-school gourmet deli that welcomes you with open arms and is stocked with dry pasta, canned tomatoes, and olive oil. When it comes to the pizza, Rosario’s exclusively uses fresh, high-quality ingredients. The combination of tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil is heavenly.
